Stay on the Frankenweg trail

The Frankenweg is a long-distance hiking trail connecting 21 stages in Upper and Middle Franconia. The Frankenweg trail takes you through Upper Franconia (Kronach, Kulmbach Bamberg), the Franconian Jura (Heiligenstadt, Muggendorf, Pottenstein) and into the Altmühl Valley (Berching, Thalmässing, Weißenburg, Treuchtlingen), ending in Harburg im Ries. Depending on your starting point, you will arrive in Thalmässing on the 16th stage of the hike, coming from Berching – before continuing the next day to Weißenburg on a 26 km route taking you over the Jura Mountains.

How to find us:

Thalmässinger Landgasthof is just 250 meters from the trail, at the former train station. To reach us, follow the Frankenweg trail to Thalmässing. Cross the picturesque Marktplatz and continue along Hauptstrasse until you reach the intersection where you will see the business named "Dorner". Turn right here onto Nürnberger Strasse and then take the next left, following the sign for Thalmässinger Landgasthof.
